In just her 3rd year as a professional golfer, New Zealand’s Momoka Kobori has established herself as a strong competitor on the Ladies European Tour and though her younger brother Kazuma Kobori is turning heads in the Men’s world of golf, winning the New Zealand PGA Championship as an amateur and recently winning the Webex Players Series Sydney by one shot, Momoka is driven by a sibling rivalry that runs deep.

Her record includes two WPGA Tour of Australasia titles including the 2023 Women’s NSW Open and the TPS Hunter Valley in 2022. She won the Montauban Ladies Open by 3 shots and backed that up with a 4-shot victory at the Pas De Calais Golf Open in France in 2022.

Momoka finished tied for 14th place at Bonville in 2022 and will be looking to post a strong early round at the 54-hole Australian Women’s Classic Bonville, presented by Pacific Bay Resort Studios, to ensure she is in the mix on the final round Sunday.

“There is always some sibling rivalry between my brother and I and we are always trying to beat each other,” says Momoka.

A win at Bonville will most certainly spur the sibling rivalry and boost her sibling bragging rights. A tall order as her rising star brother now boasts a record matching that of Tiger Woods. Both players collected three wins after just 10 starts as a professional.

The 2024 Australian Women’s Classic Bonville, presented by Pacific Bay Resort Studios will be telecast LIVE on 7PLUS on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April. Spectators can witness all the action by downloading their FREE spectator pass at

The Australian Women’s Classic Bonville was secured exclusively for Bonville by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
