Qantas has added increased support for the NSW North Coast as the region continues to welcome visitors from across the nation for a holiday at home. The area is experiencing ongoing demand from Aussie travellers and it seems, is set to become the gateway to the North Coast now that new flights have commenced from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Melbournians can access Bonville with direct flights operating daily with Qantas’ Boeing 717 aircraft, which adds more than 1,750 seats on the route each week.

Sydneysiders may enjoy a little extra foot room with the introduction of Qantas’ larger two-class B717 aircraft, operating alongside the Q400 which also operate on the route. This will see Qantas offer around 500 extra seats on the route each week (a total of 4,300 seats), and the option to travel in Business Class.

Qantas has also added Brisbane to the list! Direct flights will operate four days per week with the turboprop Q400 aircraft, adding around 600 seats on the route each week.

QantasLink CEO John Gissing said these new routes would provide Australians with more options to plan their next holiday in their own backyard. “With international borders closed, we want to make it even easier for travellers to holiday around Australia,” said Mr Gissing.
